Nome, cognome, età e da quanto scatta fotografie?

Ashley Anthony, 25 anni. Scatto foto da quando ero piccolo. Ho sempre portato con me una fotocamera usa e getta o una polaroid dovunque andassi. Tuttavia, soltanto pochi anni fa ho deciso di prendere la fotografia più sul serio, come un 'arte.

La sua attrezzatura?
Io lavoro principalmente con fotocamere a pellicola. I miei due modelli favoriti e più utilizzate sono la 2.8e Rollei e la Hasselblad 500C. Uso anche una fotocamera digitale a volte, ma non sento la stessa connessione con esso, come quella che provo con una fotocamera a pellicola.

Cos’è la fotografia per lei?

La fotografia è la mia vita. Mi sento strano quando non ho in mano una macchina fotografica. Questa mi permette di mostrare agli altri come vedo il mondo, che spesso non è la norma.

I suoi soggetti preferiti?

I miei soggetti preferiti sono le persone. Adoro incontrare nuove persone che viaggiano in tutto il mondo. Mi piace molto anche a scattare foto dei miei amici e familiari, molti dei quali si possono ritrovare nel mio portafolio.

Cosa fa quando non scatta foto?
Io amo la musica, mi ispira. Mio padre era un cantautore e mi ha esposto alla grande musica fin da bambino. Posso soltanto ringraziarlo per avermi fatto conoscere David Bowie e Stevie Nicks.

Qual è la foto che sogna di scattare?

Adoro le fotografie dei tempi della Andy Warhol's factory. Mi sarebbe piaciuto essere nei dintorni in quel periodo per poter scattare foto.

Un fotografo che ci consiglia di tenere d’occhio?
La maggior parte dei fotografi che mi sento di raccomandare sono miei grandi amici. Recentemente mi sono spostato da Portland a San Francisco. I miei amici Jon Duenas e Brandon Witzelsempre producono sempre cose che finisco irrimediabilmente per amare. Tuttavia, per quanto riguarda le mie influenze, non posso che citare Ellen Rogers e Alex Prager.

Name, Surname, Age and how long have you been taking photos?
Ashley Anthony, 25. I've been taking photos since I was little. I always took a disposable cameras and polaroids with me where ever I went. However, it wasn't until a few years ago that I decided to take it more seriously as an art.

What cameras do you work with?
I primarily work with film cameras. My two favorites and most frequently used are my Rollei 2.8e and My Hasselblad 500C. I also use a digital from time to time, but I don't feel the same connection with it as I do with a film camera.

What does photography mean to you?
Photography is my life. I feel strange when I'm not taking a photograph. It allows me to show others how I see the world, which is often not the norm.

What are your favourite subjects?
My favorite subjects are people. I really love to meet new people when traveling around the world. I also really like taking pictures of my beautiful friends and family, many of whom are in my portfolio.

What else do you do besides photography?
I love playing music; it inspires me. My Dad was a singer songwriter, and he exposed me to such great music as a kid. I can thank him for introducing me to David Bowie and Stevie Nicks.

What is the photo you'd dream to take?
I adore photographs from Andy Warhol's factory days. I would have loved to been around to photograph that.


What photographer do you recommend us to watch?
Most of the photographers I would recommend happen to be great friends of mine. I recently moved from Portland, Or to San Francisco, Ca. The photographers in Portland really blow me away. My friends Jon Duenas and Brandon Witzel always produce things that I love. However, as far as influences I have really been enjoying the work of Ellen Rogers and Alex Prager.
